Great Events Group began as a small catering company over 30 years ago and has now grown into one of the top food & beverage holding companies in Calgary. Housing eight unique brands, Great Events Group is proud to occupy specific niches in Calgary’s foodservice industry and to provide excellence in service to both corporate and social clients throughout the city.

Our story

  • In 2017, we imagined an event that would change the local food scene and introduced an innovative pop-up dining concept to Calgary foodies. Lead by our award-winning Executive Chef Daryl Kerr, our team at Great Events Group hosted Foodies in the Park, an exploration into the artistry of ingredients.

  • We decided to continue the journey and transform Foodies in the Park into a series of pop up dinners. Hosted in private garden domes situated in the heart of Fish Creek Provincial Park, the series will offer the ultimate gastronomic experience that connects food with nature and creativity.

  • Our plans changed a little and after having to postpone our first edition, we decided to host the Al Fresco Dinner series celebraing cuisines from around the world in our garden domes reimagined as travel casules. A culinary trip to France and A Taste of Mediterranean were sold out quickly.

  • The first edition of Foodies in the Park presents Wonderland – a whimsical place where magic defies reality and lets you immerse into a world of sensorial experiences. Escape the daily routine and join us on a fairytale adventure.




Award-winning chef Daryl Kerr of Great Events Group is recognized for his talent to elevating events to extravagant culinary celebrations. Playing with ingredients and techniques, Chef Kerr transforms each dish into a visual and sensorial masterpiece.



The Bow Valley Ranche in a unique historical landmark in Fish Creek Park. Facing the striking vistas neighbouring the house, the Artisan Gardens offer the ultimate immersive atmosphere. Our private domes are displayed among the art alleys of the gardens, providing an intimate dining experience that combines nature and creativity.
